OUR MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY

To edify, motivate, support, and strengthen every displaced and at-risk youth that come through the doors of Purposely Chosen by meeting their basic physiological, safety, love, and esteem needs, which are essential to overcome the obstacles of homelessness.  

At Purposely Chosen, it is our philosophy that every human being is created with a purpose, a reason for being. We believe that we are PURPOSELY (intentionally, deliberately, knowingly, and wittingly) CHOSEN (selected, elected, and preferred) by God to fulfill HIS purpose (reason, point, idea, principle, rationale, function and use) in our lives.

However, our PURPOSE is oftentimes masked by fear, hopelessness, and despair; thereby we become products of our environment. We, the staff and volunteers of Purposely Chosen believe and know by way of our own TESTIMONIES, that despite our circumstances, if provided a safe haven, a place of belonging, treated love and respect, a strong support system, and provided tools and instructions for living, that the REVELATION of God's PURPOSE for our lives CAN and WILL be discovered. Then and only then will we become whole, healthy, strong, and productive individuals.
